The Department of Political Science which was started in the year 1963 along with the inception of the college has praise worthy background eminence such as Prof. F.G. Navalagund and Somshekharaiah induced academic in the Department.

Dr. Shashikala M.C. has been working as the head of the Department of Political Science from 2007-08 onwards. She is doing her best to carry on the bright tradition set by eminent personalities. The Department consists of 02 teachers.
