The Department of Geography was established in the year of 1963. It is one of the oldest departments in the college. Presently our department has four qualified and well experienced teaching staff members and one menial staff. Prof, D.A. Kolhapure is the present Head of the Department.

At present the department has full-fledged faculty members. Department has regularly conducts various International, National State Level conferences, seminars, work-shops, quiz and other activities. Other than these, the department conducts extension activities, field visit, study tour, socio-economic and demographic survey of places in and around of Haveri for the enhancement of the knowledge of the students and faculty. According to development in the field of science and technology our department lab having practical related instruments like thermometer, hygrometer etc, 3D, 2D maps, charts, models, globs, practical work supported furniture’s, LCD facilities etc
